After checkout

Payment goes to Stripe. The plan lands in the app.

This is the address Stripe returns you to when a checkout finishes. It is a plain page on a website — no sign-in, no session, nothing to look an account up with — so it cannot tell you what you are on. What it can do is say exactly what happens next, and where to watch it happen.

Payment received

Stripe took the payment. Fetchi is told separately.

The second half is the one that catches people. Stripe sent you back here the moment the card cleared, and it tells our server over a different connection — one this page has no part in and cannot see. Your plan changes when that message lands, in the app rather than here. It may have landed already; this page has no way to know either way, which is why it won't pretend to.

Payment received

Credit bought. Your plan didn't change.

A top-up is a one-off purchase, so nothing new recurs and there is nothing new to cancel. Stripe sent you back here the moment the card cleared; the credit reaches your account when Stripe's confirmation reaches our server, a beat after that.

The short version

  • Stripe only sends anyone back to this page once it has taken the payment. That part finishes before the page loads. If you bought on the website, save your setup code above before closing this tab.
  • Fetchi finds out separately. Stripe posts a confirmation to our server, and the account changes there. Usually that is seconds. Occasionally it is a minute or two.
  • A plan announces itself. Credit doesn't. If you started a plan, Fetchi began asking the server the moment you pressed the button in the app — every fifteen seconds, for ten minutes from then — and says so out loud when the answer changes. Nothing watches for a top-up: open Settings and the plan card asks on the spot.
  • This page will not tell you which plan you are on. It has no way to ask — and the flag in the address bar is the same one whether the checkout was for Pro or for Max, so any plan name printed here would be a guess dressed up as a receipt.
  • Ten minutes gone and still nothing? Email riyaan.aldimassi+fetchi@gmail.com. Don't buy it a second time.

If you just started a plan This is you

  1. Leave Fetchi running. It started asking the server on a loop when you pressed the button, not when you arrived here, and it keeps asking for ten minutes from that press — so a long spell on the card form eats into the window. Quitting doesn't break anything: it just means the answer arrives at the next launch instead of on its own.
  2. Watch the plan line in Settings. It's in the menu-bar icon, next to Add credit and Manage billing. That line reports what the server says, which is the only thing worth believing here.
  3. Wait for it to say so. When the server confirms, Fetchi says Payment confirmed out loud and names the plan. That sentence only exists after the server has answered, which is why it is the one to trust and this page isn't.

The order is the part people find surprising: Stripe is paid first and tells us second. So there is a real gap between the receipt in your inbox and the plan in your app. It is normally a few seconds, and it is not a queue you can jump — reloading this page does nothing, because the page is not the thing that is waiting.

Stripe emails the receipt to the address you used at checkout. That email is the record of the charge; this page is not one, and never will be — it can be reached by anyone who types the address, so it would be a poor thing to treat as proof.

If you just bought credit This is you

Credit and plans are separate purchases, and buying credit leaves the plan exactly where it was. There is no new subscription attached to it, which also means there is nothing new to cancel.

It arrives the same way a plan does — Stripe confirms to our server and the balance moves there. What differs is the telling. Nothing announces a top-up out loud. The watcher that speaks up after a checkout is looking for a change of plan, and a top-up deliberately isn't one, so it has nothing to notice. Open Settings and the plan card asks the server there and then; the balance is written under the usage bars. Credit you have bought stays bought — it does not reset with the month and it does not expire.

Bought credit when you meant to change plans? Nothing on this page can undo that. Email riyaan.aldimassi+fetchi@gmail.com, say what happened, and we'll sort it with a human rather than a button.

If it doesn't show up

Ten minutes is the honest threshold, and it is not a guess: ten minutes is how long a plan change is watched for, counted from the button press rather than from this page. That is far longer than a confirmation normally takes, so past it, nothing is going to arrive on its own — and a top-up was never going to arrive on its own in the first place.

One thing to try first: quit Fetchi and open it again. It asks the server what the account is on every launch, and the plan card asks again every time Settings opens — so a relaunch is a clean second attempt at the same question, for a plan and a balance alike. It separates a stuck app from a stuck payment in about five seconds.

Still nothing? Email riyaan.aldimassi+fetchi@gmail.com. Say what you bought, roughly when, and the email address you used at checkout. We reply to the address on the account rather than to whoever wrote in — the same rule the billing page runs on, and the reason it is safe to have a human in the loop at all.

Don't buy it again while you wait. A second checkout is a second charge, not a retry, and untangling two payments takes longer than the email would have.

Haven't bought anything?

Then nothing has happened, and none of the above is about you. This address is simply where a checkout ends. Anyone can type it — it charges nothing, changes nothing, and knows nothing about whoever is reading it.

If you came looking for the plans, they are on the pricing page. If you came looking for how to cancel, change the card or download an invoice, that is all on billing, and every one of those buttons lives inside the app rather than on this site.
